Code Review Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for peer programmer code reviews. It only takes a minute to sign up. I have made a random maze generator that allows for custom sizes via command arguments. Could you look over my code and suggest any improvements possible? Global variables should be avoided, as they can easily conflict with variables added in other places and don't allow easy duplication.

Note that I removed the argument from the function to select a random point. Now it just returns a point without any knowledge of how the point will be used. The setters handle assigning the point. Although you might want to change some of that.

For example, why is normalSize done outside of parseArgs?

Free printable anger management assessment tools

Why have a separate initialize step? Why have separate steps selecting the start and end? The Maze class knows how to parse arguments and create a maze. The path finding class knows how to do a depth first search although it doesn't tell the caller that's what it is doing--we could switch to another search type with no one the wiser.

Both know how to display themselves. Now main isn't cluttered with all sorts of implementation details that callers shouldn't need to know. Or that you need to parse, normalize, initialize the maze, and then choose endpoints--in that order.

Why should a caller need to know that the random selection can choose the end to be the same place as the start? And of course we got rid of the global variables.

A side effect of this is that we could create and search more than one maze now. The original program only allowed for one. Then the caller wouldn't even have to know that srand needed to be called. Making it only happen once is tricky though, so I won't try to get into that here.

Botorch github

I just wanted to mention it, as the previous principles would suggest that we don't want to call srand from main. Sign up to join this community. Sierpinski maze generator tool What is a sierpinski maze generator? This tool draws a Sierpinski Maze.

The Sierpinski maze, also known as Sierpinski labyrinth, resembles a Sierpinski sieve. It also has a triangular shape, but it's drawn from many disconnected line segments. With a large number of iterations, the line segments get closer and closer together and triangles start to become clearly visible.

In the limiting case when iterations go to infinity, a Sierpinski maze becomes a Sierpinski sieve. With this tool, you can visualize this process. You can set the size of the maze by changing its width and height. You can also colorize the background and maze line with any color. You can set the color in four different ways: write its name for example, "yellow"set hex color code for example, " aabbcc"choose RGB color code for example, RGB 50, 60,or RGBA color code with transparency for example, RGBA 20, 30, 40, 0.

You can also specify the thickness of the maze in pixels and set the distance of the fractal maze from the edges of the canvas if padding is 0 then the fractal labyrinth will touch the image frame. And finally, you can rotate the maze by choosing the starting direction of the first maze segment.
